DAY 1 of my Challenge

Yes I know it isn't term 4 yet...

but I just had to make a start - so many picture books so little time!!!

Day 1:

  1. The Pine-cone Track by Joan Anderson, illustrated by Nikki Slade Robinson
    This story is written in Song form 
    - with the music in the back of the book.
    The pictures are bright and cheerful.

  2. Kapai's Kiwi Holiday by Uncle Anzac
    Great Kiwiana pictures and fun rhyming words

  3. Herbert and Harry by Pamela Allen
    Interesting story loaded with meaning and quirky pictures.

  4. The Bear's Lunch by Pamela Allen
    A tale of courage and Pamela uses great sounding words.
    The pictures are in her normal funky style.

  5. Over the Hill to Greytown by Tania Atkinson, illustrated by Viv Walken
    This story plays on an original NZ tale.
    The tree in the story is still alive and growing and the illustrations are sweet.

  6. Fix-it Duck by Jez Alborough
    Fun and fast paced rhyming! Poor Duck!
    Pictures are lively and you can't help but giggle.
